Tree Progress

I'm worried doing it this was is gonna look bad. I did things in black and white and then tried to add colour last semester and it just looked bad. Now I've got an idea of how I built this up to look as it does in tones. I don't know whether to just paint it again straight in colour.

Built it up as shown previously, then layered over the top some vegetation brushes. adding and rubbing out areas as necessary before scribbling over the top a bit with a round pen tool for a bit of texture.
